Position: Grant Manager

Qualifications: 

  • Associate’s degree (Required); 

  • Bachelor's degree (Preferred)

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in grant writing (Preferred)

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in municipal or nonprofit settings (Preferred)

  • Strong written communication and storytelling skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment with professionalism, critical thinking, and resourcefulness

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with high attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines under pressure 

Job Description: 

The Grant Manager will work collaboratively with the grant writing team to identify and research funding opportunities for municipal clients, including foundation, local, state, and federal grants. This role requires strong research, evaluation, and communication skills to effectively assess and relay funding opportunities. The Grant Manager will oversee the entire grant lifecycle, from opportunity identification to post-award management, ensuring compliance with funder requirements. Responsibilities include data collection, document organization, application submissions, financial tracking, and impact reporting. Additionally, the Grant Manager will manage relationships with funders, stakeholders, and internal teams to align grant applications with organizational priorities.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Identify and research potential grant opportunities aligned with organizational goals

  • Occasionally write, edit, and submit compelling grant proposals and applications

  • Ensure all grant applications comply with funder guidelines and regulatory requirements

  • Maintain a database of grants, submissions, deadlines, and reporting requirements

  • Track grant expenditures and prepare financial reports for grantors

  • Monitor funded programs, ensuring compliance with grant requirements

  • Conduct grant-funded program evaluations to measure impact

  • Coordinate with departments to compile financial data and measurable outcomes

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for funders, providing regular updates

  • Provide guidance and support to internal teams on grant management best practices

  • Stay informed about changes in grant funding policies and industry trends
