About Greg: Greg Hutnik has a decade of experience in municipal leadership, current and long-range land use planning, watershed planning, environmental planning and consulting, grant writing and administration, and more recently managing a town's planning department. As the planner for the town of Danby, a municipality just outside of the city of Ithaca, Greg is involved in planning efforts related to housing, hamlet revitalization, economic development, environmental conservation, and recreation. Greg also serves on the town of Enfield's planning board and as its deputy supervisor.
The City of Ithaca, NY is requesting proposals from qualified firms to conduct a comprehensive update of its zoning code. With a grant from the New York State Department of State’s Smart Growth Communities program, the City of Ithaca is rewriting its zoning code to better align with the City’s comprehensive plan and smart growth principles with regulations tailored to the unique characteristics of Ithaca.
