The role of a board member is giving of your time, treasure and talent. Education Officer George Frantz has been doing just that for APA NYU since 1993!

Itโs been a great opportunity to engage with planners from across the Upstate region and more recently nationally as an APA chapter delegate last year. Since I started my 3rd career in 2017 as a full-time planning professor at Cornell, it seemed natural for me to take on the duties as Education Officer for the Chapter; and I now also teach a new AICP exam prep course at Cornell, soon possible to be an online course.

Working on the Southern Tier team organizing the conference last fall was a challenging but enjoyable task.

George is a critical connection between our students, the board and overall membership. We are lucky to have his involvement. Are you a planning student wanting to get involved in the Chapter? We'd love to hear from you!
