Position Information: The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets is seeking an Associate Environmental Analyst Agriculture. Under the supervision of the Principal Environmental Analyst, the Associate Environmental Analyst Agriculture will assist in facilitating the administration of the Agricultural and Farmland Protection Program (AML Article 25-AAA) including financial assistance programs such as the Farmland Protection Planning Grants Program, Farmland Protection Implementation Grants Program, the Land Trust Grants Program, and others as assigned. This may involve formulating and assessing program objectives, coordinating available grant opportunities, reviewing submitted applications and proposals, creating, or updating program administration procedures, and managing contracts. It also includes providing technical assistance to eligible applicants and other stakeholders, establishing, and maintaining grant tracking systems, and contributing to reports on program achievements. Additionally, it entails developing outreach and training resources for related grant programs and ensuring the upkeep of program guidance documents. The Associate Environmental Analyst Agriculture is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week
