The City of Ogdensburg is currently accepting applications for a position in the Planning Department. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in shaping the future of our community. As a planner, you will be responsible for driving initiatives that help the City of Ogdensburg grow sustainably, attract investment, and enhance the quality of life for residents. Planners collaborate with stakeholders to develop land use plans, guide community development projects, and implement policies that align with the City’s vision for growth and revitalization. Based on qualifications and experience, candidates may be considered for one of the following positions: Planner I, Planner II, or Planner III.
Planner I -- Salary Range: $50,851 to $66,745 (DOQ)
Planner II -- Salary Range: $56,278 to $73,453 (DOQ)
Planner III -- Salary Range: $67,735 to $85,738 (DOQ)

Interested candidates must complete a Civil Service application and return it to the City Clerk. Civil Service applications are available at the City Clerk’s Office at City Hall or at www.ogdensburg.org. Completed applications must be returned to Cathy Jock, City Clerk, 330 Ford Street, Ogdensburg, NY 13669. Applications will be accepted continually and reviewed weekly until the position is filled.
This is a provisional appointment. The successful applicant will need to take a civil service examination and score within the top three interested candidates in order to be permanently appointed.
