Rural Transit seems like an impossible dream - but it doesn't have to be. Find out how you can start creating a successful transit program in your area. You'll learn:

  • Why rural transit is so complicated

  • How to conduct a community transit survey

  • The different types of transit available to rural areas

  • How to use the "mosaic" approach to create a unique transit program for your community

  • Alternate revenue models for funding transit programs.

Our presenter is Jennifer Michelle, owner of GreenTown Consulting. GreenTown helps municipalities build strong, healthy communities. Jennifer has an MPH in Epidemiology from Tulane School of Public Health and is completing a Sustainability Certificate from MIT in Spring 2025. She has over 15 years' experience in marketing, communications, and training facilitation. She serves on the Town of Corinth Zoning Board of Appeals and is currently helping design a pilot transit program for the Town and Village of Corinth.
